Horse cribbing / windsucking is when a horse grasps on to a solid object, pulls back, and makes a grunting noise. There are a lot of horses today that suffer from this vice and the health issues that go along with cribbing such as dental problems, destruction to property, over developed muscles, digestive problems, colic, and a laundry of other health issues.
In the past we have resorted to anti cribbing devices that have no effect on solving horse cribbing. Anti cribbing devices only deter the horse from cribbing often through pain which only cause the horse to crib more. No one enjoys having to go out and put the collars and straps on so tight that you think you are chocking your horse to death or in some cases people are not physically strong enough to get the collar or strap on tight enough for it to be effective. In some cases to despite our best efforts horses will crib through the anti cribbing devices.
15% of the horses today do not know how to handle stress. These horses often will pick up a stall vice such as cribbing ,weaving, stall walking, etc. The key to solving cribbing is teaching these horses how to handle stress. Stress comes in many different situations and forms such as isolation, boredom, anxieties, fear, pain, etc.
Crib-Free is a two-step training program that solves horse cribbing without anti cribbing devices, without the use of pain, without stress, but by solving the problem through training by understanding the source of the problem. Horse trainer Mike Hughes spent 6 years to develop this program so now you can solve the horse cribbing problem through training.
